Google Flash Ads over Search and Quick Links boxes
I noticed that when Google is displaying a Flash ad under the navbar, the Search and Quick Links boxes are being displayed under the ad. Does anyone know how to change the z-order of the navbar or google ad so that these boxes can still be used?
Thanks, Ben P |
It shouldn't be happening unless you are using Opera browser. Opera ignores z-order for plugins such as flash and shows it always on top (at least it used to do that recently, didn't check it for a while) and there is nothing you can do about it.

I used IE6 to test it and could repeat the problem. I'm not sure exactly what browsers the members complaining about it were using, but imagine a mix of IE and Firefox versions. Opera accounts for only 0.96% of the browsers. Wondering if I maybe could put the navbar in an iFrame? Looking for suggestions.

this only happens on older browsers

have you added z-index to both the vbmenu_popup css class and the flash banner with the banner having a lower value than the popup class?
