question about forum setup
 

I have two forums that for some reason show "private" on the forum index yet they are not private forums. They have subforums that are private but a "public" section. I have changed every possible permission that I can think of and it's still showing "private" instead of the post information you would normally see before entering a forum. Can you please tell me exactly what and where I am supposed to change, I'm not having this problem with any other forums. Thanks!

did you check your forum permissions in the forum manager? you have to allow each usergroup individually. and sub forums take the permissions of the parent forum so ide check that first. 1 by 1.
