transferring to new host problem.

Hi recently today I made a backup of my site www.unleashedgaming.org of the files and mySQL via cpanel. Everything went fine. Now after I got my new host account details, I uploaded al files, created the previous mysql database and users and their passwords. All went well here as well. Well after I got the mysql tables from the previous host form the backup, The site showed up at our domain www.unleashedgaming.org. I noticed that most of the text isnt showing.

Does anyone know if this is a mysql issue or did I do something wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

did you update your counters? also, it's always best to troubleshoot using the vB default template... IMO. ;)

what do you mean by update my counters? I am confused, new to vb. :) My partner deleted the vb default template. Is that going to be an issue? Or can I just easily reupload it?

just create a new style (no parent) and make it selectable. updating counters is within your AdminCP.

what kind of style? does it have to have files? Also, where do I go in admin panel to update counters?

have you read the vB instruction manual? you're asking pretty basic stuff.

natralis 11-10-2006 09:10 PM

no I haven't. I do not have time.

SCRIPT3R 11-10-2006 09:28 PM

ahhh, ok.

Hi, I have updated counters under the maintenance tab and problem still resumes. I am really starting to get aggrivated. I even referred to the vb manual.

SCRIPT3R 11-10-2006 11:45 PM

ok, first create a new style, then revert all your templates... it should work after that. it appears as though someone removed some copyright stuff where they shouldn't have and thus your forums no longer work.
