Can "modcp" users edit profiles w/ a modification?

We want to enable our moderators with the ability to edit, not just view, member profiles, and yet do not want them inside the admincp. Again, I've searched here for half an hour and haven't found anything like it. I'm wondering if this could be enabled through a couple of minor code changes, or if there is an existing modification here that already does this.

Hey in your admin cp go to User Groups - Usergroup Manager - Moderators - then edit it.. In there you can add or remove premissions from moderators.. is just an yes and no option..

Hope this helps.. no one is replying to my post though... Can you help..

This is something different. When a moderator goes to the User Manager via modcp, they can view a member's information, but cannot edit it. Whereas, admins can edit information in that same window, as they have the "Save Changes" button.

He doesnt want to give them access to the Admin CP , its different. I also cannot find a hack for this.

The edit form itself is just slightly different between modcp and admincp...it makes me wonder if we could steal a little code from the admincp version to give the modcp version the ability to save the changes.

I am also wondering about this?

Im going to go try just taking the admincp profile edit part from the ftp and transfer it over to the modcp and see what happens :)

okay this worked but the search for users part just comes up with a list of all users.
?

This is a much requested ability that vBulletin has yet to add to any of the newer upgrades. The only way to give a moderator access to that ability is to make them a super moderator and then they have more access to the admincp than most administrators/license owners want.
