Conflicting info: Number of posts
 

Ok, maybe a bit trivial...but not for a stats lover like me!! :rolleyes:

On our homepage we show
Posts: 183,806

...yet the url to a recent post shows post198066.

Am I right to presume that the number in the url of the most recent post on the site is more accurate than the number shown on the homepage?

If so, is there a way to change the number of posts shown on the homepage?

Ok, I'm a dummy.

Every post has a nonrepeating, unique number. So when a post is deleted so is the number. The home page just registers viewable posts, not ones that have been removed.
