REQ: horizontal block 2 column
 

is there anyway to make a block such that it covers two columns?

I'm trying to make a single horizontal block across the top that goes across two column (eg: center AND right).

I find most professional looking portal or index pages has at least horizontal block. the three colum thing is just tooo.... "three columny" lol. needs a break for the eye across.

is there a hack or template edit that does that? is that even possible?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
