Require X posts to use custom titles
I have been searching through the whole database and coudn't find anything. Well you see, I'm requesting a hack that would require uses to have X amount of posts before they can use their own custom usertitle.
Can anyone please make this? I know this can be done already but I just don't wanna make a new, seperate usergroup for members just so they could have their own titles. |
Bump!
Please. :( |
Is there any reason you _refuse_ to use the promotion system and custom usergroups?
|
Well, I think it's pretty much stupid to have a seperate group for members just so they could have their own custom titles. And in this case, I'll then have to update the permission / forum masks for the new group which I can't be bothered to do so.
|
How do you figure? You can base the groups permissions off an exsisting group already.
|
Yes, I realize that already but I find it really pointless to have a seperate usergroup just for that. I don't want the members to have the use of usertitles through this process.
Besides you would have to wait an hour before you can use a title. Well you know how cron jobs are and all. |
seems reasonable to me to explain to members that they must be promoted to get certain features and promotions happen at a certain time....
I only run promotions once a week... ...also, if all of your members are going to have to achieve this posting level prior to having the feature, why is it a burden to set up a usergroup to control the process? After all, you are creating a subgroup of posters in the first place... In any case, should be relatively simple to apply a conditional to the title call... |

Well, whatever that is. But I really need this as a modification that can be editable with a few extra features in the Admin CP.

What would the few extras be? Throw us a bone here mate!
