Merging databases?
 

Got a question and looking for some advice here....

I have a Forum up and running fine, I have an old database that has some postcounts that need to be merged with the new database. How can I update everyone's postcount with the counts from both databases without having to start all over again?

Is there a simple way to add the old postcount table to the new database and have the new one add both together before displaying the final total? That make sense?

use the importer tool provided in your members area at vb.com

You'll get all the information IE posts, threads, forums - from the old DB, but you can simply delete those.

Then run the maintence tools, and your count should update
