Any idea why this is happening?
 
If you take a look at the following screenshot you'll see in the welcome panel it says Edit Your Avatar and the Shoutbox reads Loading...

Unfortunately YES I do have an existing avatar and YES the shoutbox is supposed to have been loaded like ages ago. I don't know why my welcome panel avatar section gets messed up like that and when that happens then my shoutbox continues to read loading and never shows any shouts at all, to view them i have to click on the shoutbox text. Also the forums act as if they contain new posts so they're not marked as read anymore.
This happens either at the start of visiting my site or during browsing. Chances of it happening per visit are like 1/10 but when it does happen it's annoying.

How do I resolve this issue, what is it being caused by?
