My First Hack...
 

Hi All,

I've been a long time vb.org pillager, however recently decided I needed something that hadn't been done before so decided to undertake it myself. I thought I'd start a thread here and if there is interest then I could release it.

I own a sports site (Rugby Union), and I thought it'd be cool to have custom profile pages for each player, showing their vital stats as well as a few rotating images.

The basis for my system is that each player has his own sub-forum, and then the ID of that sub-forum is used as a key for the table and the player images.

Here are three example pages that I've done (there are 30 in total and I'll be expanding this to 60 soon):

I would love any comments/critique's on the look/feel of the hack, and if there is sufficient interest I'll release it too.

You may be wondering why no one has commented on this modification. the reasoning is simple really. We are all tired of coders saying "Check this out, if you like it I may release it". If you want to release it, go for it. You will have users that will find this useful. If you don't want to release it, then don't.

Please don't waste our time though with threads saying if enough interest is shown it will be released. We are all tired of seeing these threads, showing our interest, and then the product doesn't get released.

Just package it up and release it. Who knows, you may get tons of downloads. If you don't, at least you contributed to the site and some users got something that benefited their site.
