Forum loading very slowly... what's causing it?
 

The site http://www.sierraleone.com is very slow and often just keeps loading for minutes.

Is it the style (Kirsch), vbSEO, or some error we made when upgrading?

With the default style, it's a bit faster but still keeps loading forever on some pages.

Also, sometimes a user is logged out after having logged in... and then logged in again automatically when he clicks on some topic. Very confusing.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Do you have alot of plug ins/mods.. other than vbseo?

Are you on a shared server or dedicated? Whats your server software? How about your server load? Also, vBSEO as .htaccess is really slow, try "compiling" into the php.ini file

Look for these, maybe you will find your question.

Thank you guys... I tried it from a different location and it worked better. Not perfect yet but I will try the vBSEO suggestion.

One major problem that remains is this: After a user logs in, he is taken back to the main page, and it appears that he is *not* logged in (the empty login box shows). If he clicks on a thread or board after that, he *is* logged in (Firefox only) and everything works perfectly after that. On IE, he still isn't logged in.

Has any of you ever experienced such a problem? What could be the cause?
