How do I include vb codes on homepage?

I want to know how would I be able to use codes like $userinfo[username] on my homepage.

Like what file would I have to include in my index, so that they'll work?

i tried to include the global.php =/ but I got no results..

There are a few posts on this already, have a look in the Articles forum for some tutorials https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=187

I looked at them all.. didn't notice one =/

I've also searched it on the forum.. but every thread says to include global.php.

I have.. But still nothing.

did you save you template as a .php extension?

Of course.

and dont you have to include a 4-5 line php code at the very top? can you show what code that is in your file?

I've basically got the whole jist of it as far as including goes..

I ran into a problem with the cookies and showing that the user is logged in. It'll process and sign you in, but then when it returns it doesn't change to user info.

this thread can be closed though.

you go into ACP > VB OPTIONS > COOKIES PATH > Change it from "forums" to "/"

Are you asking to Display vBulletin things On a regular homepage? I'd like to know about that too.

Ok ok ok ok ok ok ok.

Ok, I didn't need that many OK's.. but I'm still in need of help.

With my "Do It Myself" attitude I thought maybe I'd be able to get this to work..

Unfortunately I haven't. I'm using this vB Deluxe Login Hack that was posted in the mods section.. I couldn't get any help in that thread so maybe I can here?

Here's a test page.. so you can see what I'm getting at.

http://www.hiphopfame.com/test.php

Username - Test
Password - 1Test1

you'll notice how it logs in and takes you back to nothing.
