Page generated in 112.40204 seconds with 16 queries

I can't for the life of me figure out why my pages are loading so slow, I have a shared server and have tried to figure this out myself by diabling mods and nothing seems to make any difference, I have even tried reverting templates with the most queries, the amout of queries drops but the load time is almost exactly the same??

Page generated in 112.40204 seconds with 16 queries (1 queries for uncached templates) [Server Loads: 1.52 1.08 : 1.01]
Uncached templates: board_inactive_warning (1)
Would someone be so kind as to give me a hand, I will give them any access they may need.

Thanks in advance

Oh my god!! you have a problem.

First I would disable ALL plugins (add "define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true');" to your config.php file. If that doesn't help, I would contact your host, as they would probably have a better idea if it's not something you did.

Just to help you narrow down the problem, there is 112 seconds of PHP processing between these two queries: [sql]SELECT event.*,
user.username, IF(user.displaygroupid = 0, user.usergroupid, user.displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid,
IF(dateline_to = 0, 1, 0) AS singleday

FROM srtcalib_event AS event
LEFT JOIN srtcalib_user AS user ON (user.userid = event.userid)

WHERE calendarid = 1 AND
((dateline_to >= 1159617600 AND dateline_from < 1162382400) OR (dateline_to = 0 AND dateline_from >= 1159617600 AND dateline_from <= 1162382400 )) AND
visible = 1[/sql] and [sql]SELECT forum.forumid, lastpost, lastposter, lastthread, lastthreadid, lasticonid, threadcount, replycount, linkhits

FROM srtcalib_forum AS forum[/sql]

Being that bad I'd say it was time to get a new host.

Unless you've seriously screwed up some code, I can't see how anything would make it take THAT long.

If you've space on the server, try installing a clean copy of vB in a different folder (password protected of course) and see if it's still the same. If it is, your host is to blame.

Edit: NM, debug mode is already on.

You have a syntax error in your config.php atm, we can have another look when you fix that.

LOL yea I have a problem, just a small slow loading one!
I tried to add the Disable Hooks and I get this error
Quote:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ''' in /home2/srtcalib/public_html/forum/includes/config.php on line 170
I changed this
Code:

"define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true');"
to this and got it to work
Code:

$define['DISABLE_HOOKS'] = true;
and now its loading, but still slow and it didn't seem to make any difference??

I have tried asking my host for help, but as usual every problem is on my end, funny that when it gets resolved its 99.9% them!

Any suggestions on a good host?

Also, My ADMINCP is loding pretty good most of the time, but it was just as slow yesterday, but now seems O.K., still makes me think the Server is goofed up somehow.

Removed error, you can take another look. " Steve waits as pages loads and loads and loads and loads zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."

I think it's just that one page to be honest (though i only tried two).

Anyway, don't put any quotes around the define line lol that will mess it up for sure! If it's just that one page then don't even disable the hooks. I would get someone to look at the script and find what's bogging it down.

If it's any help hosting wise, my host is http://www.imagelinkusa.net and they are fantastic.

I have a board that's really a bit too big for shared hosting now, yet they don't mind and the performance is really good, you can see how fast it is HERE.

Currently Page generated in 0.39900 seconds with 23 queries [Server Loads: 0.23 : 0.36 : 0.39]

Have you edited any files ? I'd be surprised if this is a host problem, the delay is too precise, always 112 seconds.

In fact, the delay is always before this query as well ;

Code:

SELECT forum.forumid, lastpost, lastposter, lastthread, lastthreadid, lasticonid, threadcount, replycount, linkhits

FROM srtcalib_forum AS forum

Now linkhits is not a standard column in the forum table, which makes me think you have added some hack that requires file edits.

Well I have removed any recient edits, and disabled receint mods with no change. But let me look some more.

However I just received this e-mail

A clue??
Have I been hacked??
I just disabled it in the AdminCP, but its still loading slow, does it take some time for the server to recover?
