How Long To Upgrade To 3.6?

I am just upgrading my forum that has 750,000 posts to 3.6.2 how long should it normally take?

Thanks

"How long is a piece of string".

No one can say, as the answer depends on so many factors - what version you are upgrading from, how many users you have, how powerful your server is, how much pre-work you did, how many custom templates you have ..... etc etc.

Not being a webmaster or coder I ask simple questions ...

upgrading from 3.5
18,500 users
Dedicated server
No pre work
about 10 custom templates

Excluding the templates, no more than an hour.

The person that was doing it said because of the size he couldnt do it and will have to do it manually??

Anyone else have any ideas?

Because of the size of the database? The raw files?

Find someone who knows what they are doing. There is nothing special about the size of your forum, almost everyone I've upgraded is bigger.

Well that appears to be stating the obvious at the moment ... plus I never said it was special I just wanted to find out how long it would take ..

I didn't mention you. Your post clearly stated that someone else said they could not do it because of the size. There is nothing about the size of your forum that would prevent it being upgraded in the normal manner, in the timeframe I stated.
