taking threads from a old sql and adding them to my new forum

i have a old sql file and it has alot of questions that were asked on my old board so i thought it would be good to add them to my new one. but the forum id is difent and so is eveythong else and i wan to add them to a cetain section and not make a new one.

is their a way of extracting posts from a old backup and adding them to a forum. and im taking about 3000 so one my one isent a option.
