How to open link in new page?
Hello, all. I'm new to vBulletin and this board.
When a link is clicked on in my forums how do I get it to open in a new page so I don't loose my viewers to another site? In FrontPage I know I can make the target page _blank. I haven't figured out how to do this in vBulletin. Thanks, Steve |
its default in vbulletin. If you are talking about adding a link inside the template
Code:
<a href="http://www.urlhere.com" target="_blank">Anchor Text</a> |
I've probably done a poor job explaining what I'm trying to do.
When a link to another place is clicked on I would like a new window to open with the target site in it (slightly smaller than the original window). Only the X in the upper right hand corner of the new window should work, which would return the user to my site when clicked. Right now a link takes a user away from my site. Thanks, Steve |
this is what opens links in a new window target="_blank", if you want to open links in the same browser windows use target="_self" instead.

114, I assume you're looking for a way to do this in threads, so that if someone posts a link to "Hey, check out blahblahblah.com", it spawns a new window, correct?
