Admin Schedule post

Wouldnt it be great if the mods and admin have a feature were they can schedule a post to be posted at what ever time it was set to. That would be cool.

What would this post contain? A pre set message or maybe a static message?

yes..

like this mod someone or the admin rather can schedule a post to be posted at a set date and time. and would be cool if it could do this even if a file is attached as well.

I would like see this mod too. I have one activity that is available every Monday in the same period of time. I would like to have one thread in corresponding forum and users interested in this activity would be subscribed to it (with instant email notification). In this thread would be every Monday in specific time automatically posted new post containing announcement about start of that activity (users are still forgetting) and subscribed users would be notified. That post would be automatically among the newest posts from whole discussion forum, so it would be (in this way) notification for others too - not only for subscribed users.

Sure, I have to post it myself every Monday, but it means that I have to keep another routine action in my mind and it is not good... too many routine actions in my mind already :-(. So automatic solution would be really great.

Maybe an option in the admincp to which usergroups can set the time of post

But I think he means an option where they make the post and in the settings where they choose if its stickied etc.. They can choose the post date.

When they choose the post date it will remain displayable to only selected usergroups before the post date.. Which it will then be public.

This would be better than a defined message although it would take longer to create

Yes, it should be possible by administrators in general.

Well, it is not what I was writing about, but sure... it could be an extra option, why not :-). I would be happy to see just an option to schedule posting in advance (I do not need possibility of showing scheduled post to specific usergroups with adequate permissions before the set post date).
