do i need a another license for each sub domain i use
ie www.footiebanter.com- main site
www.rugby.www.footiebanter.com do i need another license for this

You need a new one if you want to put another vBulletin copy there ;)
You also need a new one if you want to let it display other content than the main site (for example show the same site, but in a rugby style).

If you just want to let it redirect to the main site, you don't need a new one.

But you better ask this in the sales forum of vBulletin.com :)

You are permitted to have a single copy of vbulletin up and running and publicly accessable per license.

ok thank you, so iv i had 5 sub forums running with different content in each i would need 5 liecenses

If the content is published with vBulletin: yes :)

Only one installation per license, any more needs thier own license.
