A way of adding posts to a user?

Im making a mod and i would like to be able to add posts to a users post count for doing certain things. Is this possible, is so, how?

Unfortunatly (changing the post count of a user every time they submit content to my main site) x (1543 users) isnt viable for me. I need it to be automatic, perhaps a query that can be ran when a user submits content that will increase their post count by 2.
