Zoints Forumban - Ban members from a single forum
This modification allows staff to ban users from a single forum for a specified time period. Once banned, the user is automatically notified via private message. When the time period is up, the user is automatically unbanned from the forum and sent a PM notifying them of this fact.
A simple "forumban user" link is added to the user options in the admincp. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2006/10/7.png. And there you are presented with the forumban system. From that point, it's all automated  https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ And in vbulletin options > Zoints forumban options: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2006/10/7.png https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2006/10/7.png Official support for this modification will be at http://network.zoints.com in this specific forum. Changelog 2006/09/28 - 1.3.0 * Bugfix for releasing forumbans set as 'never' * Bugfix for supermods seeing invalid forums in the forum chooser * Bugfix for uninstalling product not dropping table 2006/08/28 * Scheduled task compatibility with vBulletin 3.6 |
Q. I have a ton of moderators I want to allow to use the automated forumban. Is there a query I can run to do this automatically?
A. Code:
UPDATE tableprefixmoderator set canforumban = 1 Q. How is this different from using access mask permissions? A. This is an automated system. It automatically messages the person upon banning, automatically releases them at a time you specify, and automatically PM's them when they are released. |
nice! installed!
lets see... |
Is this usergroup controlled? Can I allow mods of forums to ban users themselves? Great hack. The Zoints factory is on full scale production. I'm thinking I'll join soon!

You ain't seen nuthin yet  |
Yes *installed*. Thank you very much. :)
I wish me such a hack to ban users from a thread too. Like the hack for 3.5.4, but much better. Usable optionally for thread starter, moderators, super moderators, admins and with comments why the user is banned. The banned user should know who banned the user, so the banned user can step into contact with the user which banned the user. IMHO it's more diplomatically. Regards, Stoebi |
Installed and works like a charm :D
One thing I would love to see is a banlist like the one on LWS - maybe minus the coloured bannings (eg a banned members row in the table is blue). All banlists I have installed don't work too well :( Thanks! |
Wow this is what I'm looking for. Thanks! :)
