Turning off the allowposting variable for a particular forum

I've been hunting high and low throughout the forum for a hack that allows me to automatically switch 'allowposting' on and off for a particular forum.

For example, I'd like to enable users to post only between the hours of say 10am and 10pm.

I can take care of the cron ok -- I'd just welcome some assistance creating the code that would do this.

Any ideas?
