Whitelisting

I would like to whitelist my mysql database to another domain that I run. My understanding is that I just use the IP address instead of locahost.

Essentially, to run the exact same site, just under another domain name.

Can anyone tell me if this is 1. correct and 2. if it poses any threats the security of my site.

Whitelist and blacklist have nothing to do with your mysql database?

Are you trying to have your database on another server perhaps?
