The same first post hack?
 

Hi,

Is there hack where the first post on every page is the actaul 1st post in the thread?

Search through the modifications area, I believe there is one there for 3.5, might be for 3.0.x, if it is for 3.0.x, let me know, I'll get permission to update it to 3.5.

I'm using 3.6.1, would it work if it works for 3.5 or does it need an update for 3.6.1?

Also, do the styles for 3.6.0 work in 3.6.1?

Yes any hack/plugin made for 3.5 will work on 3.6 and 3.6.1, same goes with styles, the only thing about styles is, sometimes you will get a message in your admin area stating templates are needing to be updated, rarely have I seen a case where non-updated templates caused problems on forums but there could be some cases I don't know about.

Thank you Steve, I will check it out. I really appreciate your help. I just tried to find the hack in the forum but had some difficulties doing so, can someone help me find it or let me know which search criterias to use?

AAWT Thread Starter Recognition I think is what your looking for.

This puts an image "Thread Starter" in each post made by the thread starter.

So post #1 gets the image, and every reply made by the thread starter gets the image as well.... mnakes finding replies by the thread starter in a long thread much easier.

Let's say i have a few forums and I want to upgrade all of them to version 3.6.1, is it possible to install all the hacks and then create the databases/modify the forums after?
