Option to Notify All Members on Posting
 

One of our clients wants to use vBulletin for their association's online forum. But they want one modification. They want to have an option (checkbox or radio button) when a member posts a message to notify all users via e-mail that this message has been posted. When the e-mail is sent, it will need to have a specific subject line, like "[Association Name] New Forum Post - [Topic]".

Does such a mod exist somewhere? (I couldn't find one after searching the Mods section for an hour or more.)

If this mod would need to be created is this the kind of thing which would be paid or unpaid?

newtech, one does not exist, if you want it created, my suggestion is post in Service Request forum and offer some type of payment.

Thanks, Steve. I'll give it a day or two to see if anyone knows of an existing mod. If none appears, I'll post it per your suggestion. Any estimate on what would be a reasonable fee for such a modification?

Well you can give an initial fee to start and let the coder ask for more or agree. Usually for something custom like this, might cost you $50, might cost you $100, all depends on the coder you get. For me, I would go with the $50 as thats what I would ask since its one mod and doesn't seem to difficult.
