Hide Forums from Index but Show in Search
 

Can someone please make a hack that allows admins to hide a forum from the index, yet allow it to show up on the search and forum jump.

Right now the default vb software disables the show in index, search and forum jump all with the same yes/no setting.

I would also like to request this feature.

I think a workaround solution is to not have an index forum and just have the www.mysite.com/forums url forward to another forum that is created. That way you can have your forums active and searchable but not have to worry about having a huge forums index with tons of forums.

Does this make sense? I haven't set it up, but I think it would work...
