vB Gallery: can manage an Image Contest?
 

Hi :)

my users want to run an Image Contest which needs a vote counting engine. vBGallery let users to vote each image but what i really need is a final ladder between X images/cats.

i.e.

1) Contest Category
1.1) 1st image's theme
1.2) 2nd image's theme
1.3) 3rd image's theme

and so on..

2) users can vote each image one time only

3) a page that shows all the results (single category/overall) and possibly the user that wins the contest in single category and overall.


4) it'll be nice if users that join the contest can be hidden until the end of the contest itself (just to avoid preferences based on user's charm )

can this be an easy mod or a develop for future release?

Been looking for the same for a while now but no luck just yet. Keep me posted if you come across anything.

I too would be very interested in being able to hold image contests and allow users to vote for images
