vBPicks (Beta 1)
If you ever wanted someone to select either their favorite team, music, player, or even select a clan on registration you may find this hack useful.
When you go to ACP --> vBPicks and add a new "team" it'll automatically create a new usergroup. You'll need to configure the new usergroup's forum permissions if you want each usergroup to have different sections to access. Once an user chooses something from the drop down box(es) they'll be automatically placed in the respective usergroup. What I plan on doing
|
I hope some of you try this out even though it's in Beta.
|
Sounds interesting, but maybe you could give us some uses for it.
|
sounds good. will try out later.
jeor...a simple use for seomthing like this would be autmatically putting people in a usergroup for female or males. |
I have a perfect use for it: create different groups for different soccer teams and let them compete. However, how do you deal with existing users?
|
Thanks. I'll install this soon...

wow interesting... heh waiting for it to come out of beta, which gives me some time to figure out some ideas for it ;-)

I forgot to mention that when you create a new sport and list the teams you can create images to each team.
Say you you used "NBA" for your sport and you list every team. In the "sport" directory you can upload a small image for each team. Save the image the same exact way as you spelled the team's name. |
This is a mod ive been looking for. Its great that you left it up to the user to decide what they want as well as how many. wd.
Only thing holding me back from an install is a question: Does this display in postbit at all or only in the users profile? A screenie of where it is housed would be cool. |
