Email Verification BEFORE showing up as "Newest Registered Member"?

My "Verify Email address in Registration" is set to YES, but people are still registering with bogus email address's and getting there account name posted on the new users list with derogitory terms. Is there a way to set this so that there name does not show up UNTIL they are email verified? Thanks!

Im using 3.5.4. Thanks!

Yes i get the same, i have about 70 members that have not yet confirmed thier email address, therefore this idea would be great cause i think they can see more once registered although not ALL, i would certainly be up for this, just not sure how it would work though,

Then again, cold this not be done with the promotions system?

Yes, I just came from vBulletin.com to search for an anwser to this issue as well...

Could somebody please let us know what the variable to check for is so we can implement an if statement in board Statistics section on the FORUMHOME template.

Thank you in advance!
