vb.org Archive - vB data on non-vB pages

Hi, I am trying to do a couple things.

First off I am trying to take my vB navigation out of the forums and move it to my sites home page (actually to ALL pages as the vB navbar would be the navbar for the entire site) and then include that code in the vB forum to include my custom header and layout.

Secondly I am trying to get the users avatar to show up with their welcome information.

I have VBExternal installed and functioning and can pull last posts and who's on information to my front page but it does not help with these other two things I am trying to do.

Any help in steering me in the right direction is appreciated.

BTW I am still using 3.0.8 until I can free some $$$ to upgrade my subscription...

Anyone have information or an admin that can push me into rhe right direction??
