Database Cleaner
 

On phpBB I learned that with updates and mod adds and removals, DB entries can get left in. They are not always easy to find, but can impact DB performance and cause errors.

They have a great Utility for cleaning a DB back to vanilla.

I think this kind of issue can be the source of a few problems I have read. And one I am having on the ShoutBox.

Over a vanilla DB a vanilla install has no issues. But over the updated to 3.6.0, even will all mods removed and templates reverted, it drops the editor, scroll bar and such randomly.

Might be related. Might not.

But I think this is a Utility that is needed and will be increasingly needeed over time.

We have one, its called Impex.

Simply download impex from vBulletin.com members area and import your old vB database into your new vB database.

Hmmm. Going 3.6.0 to 3.6.0 is not listed as a function vb.com.

But I do see in another it can be used.
