Different Rank Image for each Style

As the title says, i need something that allows different rank images for every style (in vb 3.0.x). I've looked at the php files, but my understanding of php is limited. I think it can be done with template conditionals, but im not sure how as the rank image location is hard coded in php. Anyone know how to do this or can give me a direction to start in?
