ever get sick of running your forum?

Hopefully i'm not the only one.

This is probably about the 3rd time i've lost interest in this site in the last year, time for it to go.

Anyone else ever have this problem? What did you do to remedy it

I did... well, I more lost the interest in the topic of the site, so I gave someone else administrative responsibilites. I'm still admin there though. This was a hobby site, and one that didn't bring in any money, so it is easier to get rid of.

Does your site bring in any revenue?

squat, its more of a head ache to run.

I've got a good team on my site and we've been through some rough times over the life of the site. One thing I know is that I can rely on them completely and that they will happily look after everything. The great thing about this is that all I need to do is make a post in our staff forum saying that I'm taking a few days/weeks/even months off and they look after everything then when I come back we just carry on where we left off. This is great, as it works for us.

Last year I was rather ill and was offline for almost 6 months and it wasn't a problem at all. The only thing that doesn't happen if I am off the site is upgrades, but my admin and mod are both on my priority support form and so can contact support if something goes really wrong with no problems.

In the six years of running a (clan) site I've rarely hit a slump. In the last 3 weeks, however, I'm at a creative block. Ever since I've upgraded to 3.6.0 I haven't conceptualized a design that I'm satisfied with; so we've been left with a forum (and gallery) in the vB default Style. If I'm ever going to complete the site by this year's end I'll need to get back on track soon.
