generating thread titles/info for newsletters

I want to be able to send out regular email newsletters that shows my forum title and the most recent thread title with number of posts and such. I've seen other sites do this. How do I do it?

I'll admit to being new to this-so I beg patience if my questions sound dumb-I'm learning as fast as I can! Thanks!!!:D
