Sending "Forums Newsletters" via Vb?
We've been doing it for a while - its painful, it takes a long time and anyone who joins during "newsletter time" is subject to several days wait in order to activate their account.
We tried some of the hacks here on vB.org - they aren't a viable solution for us. Do you send newsletters? If so, what type of solution do you use in order to send it, so it doesn't disrupt your forums function? I send 160K a month...I'd like a better process...suggestions? |
Well, non of the hacks here at vb.org for newsletters worked for me, they were just too buggy or couldnt complish what I expected them to do. At the moment, we create the html outside vb.
If you find a good tool for doing this online/vb let me know! |
This would be very nice to have!
News letters(closest thing i can think of) could be used also on some of the simular hacks , vbAdvanced. If you updated it .. |
We don't send an HTML one - we send a text newsletter...but still it kills us :(
If I find something, I'll let you know. |
Sending emails through vB is not the best option, since as you stated, it stops other mail going out from vB.
I've been looking for a good mailing list program for a while but am finding that there are a lot to choose from. It's hard to find one worth putting money on, especially since I haven't found any with good demos. |
