COPIES of admin (or user) tagged threads - get displayed in a special 'best of' forum

I get nagged all the time for a 'Best of" forum with the 'best threads"

But I dont want to disrupt / change the EXISTING forums - and I dont want to ROB them all of the best threads (as they would quickly become boring) nore do I want the forums to have a load of stickies at the top...

So I was thinking a copy thread 'best of' forum - OR SEARCH FUNCTION that could pick up 'tagged' threads that had been marked as 'v good'

I would like the tagging system to have different catagories..

Say for example

Best:
Pasta dish
Fish recipe
Cook books

I am not sure I want my users voting for the best threads - (I may want this admin only) as flame wars and +++++ fests might get voted 'popular' - and I dont want this sort of BS at my forum.. If I did let them vote threads into 'the best' catagory - I would want to be able to REMOVE certain threads from it.. to override the voting..

What do you think?

Does this 'tag it' - to 'search it later' hack - already exist?

Thanks v much

I am more into a search tagged results - idea than messing up the forum list with a new forum containing copies of threads that can or cant be added to..

I have become a 'tag' nut.. I am desperate for a good "tag catagory" & search tags hack..

Is there one..?

wow that Automerge hack is cool! It dealt with my multiple quotes brilliantly!

whats that called? (Automerge?)

SHEEESH! What does it do? Stick everything posted within 5 minutes into the same post??

Coooool!
