brand new install

i have an older database, 3.0.1, that i want to use in a new install of 3.6.0.. is this possible with a converter/something?

Upload all the 3.6 Files. And run the upgrade.php

That'll work.

I'd setup the 3.0.1 database, then setup a whole new database for 3.6 and use the import tool to import the 3.0.1 database into the new 3.6 so it removes any extra fields or anything.
