vBulletin.org hosted product versioncheck?
 

It would be lovely if vBulletin.org had a versioncheck system for products. The version info is already available, just need a place to plug in the productid.

Something like https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/vborg_miscactions.php?do=versioncheck&threadid=122 221

I have already written this, and hopefully will be active in the next few days.

This is has been already coded by Paul, and we are looking to install it ASAP. :)

Sounds extremely resource wasteful.

Better would be to have a version change cache it to a txt file. Say, version_check_122221.txt. 122221 being the threadid.

You can cache without it being a txt file.

I tried making my version check point a text file and a html file but the checker can't read them. Yes I've chmodded them to 777.
