vBMS and Developer license

I plan to create a forum and make free email yourname@mysite to my members. The info I found at http://webdesignforums.turtletips.com/vbms/ says I must have a developer license. So I have two questions:
1. What is the difference between a developer license and an owned license?
2. How many domains can be supported by vBMS?

You need to enquire at the vBMS site regarding their product.

From what I have seen on their site though, it only supports vBulletin 3.0.x and nothing later. Therefore I strongly recommend doing thorough research at there site and with their support system to find out more regarding this.

For specific queries relating to vBulletin sales and licencing, please contact vBulletin Sales Support

As a vBMS customer, I do not recommend it.
Why? Because since february, as a dev licensed customer, We (customers) have not received any update on pre-releases, and besides, we have been told that the creator filburt1, has no time to keep on with the project. He hired another coder, but that was a month ago, and the coder didnt came back and say what was going to happen.

I would strongly suggest you spend your money elsewere. I am now waiting for my refund.

Thank you.

While development is mostly stalled, progress has certainly been made from February, to say the least. I will make a product announcement later. However, if you wish to install vBMS under vBulletin 3.5 or 3.6, note that there is no stable version for said vBulletin versions.
