hacking same skin templates help
 

i use a custom skin i found on here. is there a way to install the same skin twice but hack 1 skin w/ things like side colums and shoutboxes ext. and leave 1 copy alone.

im kinda new to all of this but i was thinking that if i changed the name of the skin reupload in admin cp and used complete paths to images that would work? they could pull from the same image directory and i would have a new set of teplates to hack and play w/? is there anything i need to watch for in the files that could conflict?

some of my users like all the bells and whistles found on vb.org other like it simple. so i was thinking same theme.. one hacked and 1 left alone. is this posible

Yes, just reimport the style xml and be sure to give it a name on the upload page. You don't need to do anything with the image paths or anything as it will have these set anyway (unless you need to use the fullpaths due to some modifications eg portal)
