Making the forums transparent.

I'm having issues getting the forums to be transparent. I want to have a set background with the forums floating above it.

The best example of what I want is on my dumb little myspace account.

Anyone clue me in..

Thanks

Scott

fix your background.

then everywhere you want it transparent, just delete any color in the color box

ok, nice and easy (and yes, I've done this in 2.3 to make sure it works for you :))

in your body tag section of your font/colors/images page add the following to within the tags there

Code:

style="background: url(http://www.silverstangs.net/images/background13.jpg); background-attachment:fixed"
Delete the contents of the following boxes

page background color
table border color
category strip background color
table header background color
first alternating table background color
second alternating background color
calendar background color

This makes everything transparent and just displays the text and images and the box around today in the calendar.

I used the background image from your myspace page, so if that is not what you want to use, just replace the image url in the body tag code.

What if you wanted to adjust the opacity? Is there a way to do that as well?

I suggest choosing a color close to your background image choice -- eg. do not leave these fields empty--unless it's inheriting the background color from it's parent (test on other browsers)

eg. image may not download for some apparent reason (it happens)

just create the exact image that you want
