Installing new product resets CSS
I have set it so that all of my CSS stylesheets are external, and I prefer to modify these stylesheets by hand rather than going through the vbulletin admincp.
When I want to make CSS changes to a template, I simply download the CSS file and edit it, then re-upload it. This works fine, until I install a new product or plugin - doing so resets the CSS stylesheet (or seems to create a new one, with the default settings) and so I am forced to re-upload the stylesheet to my server. Is there a tool available that will prevent this from happening somehow? |
i have run into the same problem. Anyone know how this can be solved?

When you install a product, it goes through your styles to add any templates. And, just like if you modify a style, it gives the stylesheet a new id. I don't know that you can do anything about it unless you go into the vb code and change it so it never gives the stylesheet a new id.

I'd love that option.....I also would love to be able to actually name the stylesheet file something like "style1.css" instead of some randomly generated file name.
