I was amazed not to find a main thread for designers who want to start creating vbulletin skins. If I have somehow missed this, please post a link. If not, please post the important issues of creating vb skins.

Where to start? What are the pitfalls? How to make skins that are easy to port to a higher vb version? Are there SEO issues with skins? How to create skins so that add ons will easy intergrate?

Several important issues may be covered in other threads. Please post about them here as well(links are helpfull), as it would be good to compile one central FAQ.
