Selling Memberships
 
I'm going to sell memberships on my site that will provide write access in VB in addition to other benefits. I've thoroughly reviewed the Paid Subscriptions functionality and determined it to be too difficult for my site's target audience. I also have a PHP shopping cart in place anyway.

When someone purchases a membership through my PHP store, I want to automatically create a VB account and assign them a Paid Subscription. In my store, I'll verify their requested username is unique before allowing them to complete the transaction.

Anyone done this? How difficult will it be? How many VB tables will need to be manipulated to pull this off?

No one has manually created an account via SQL? Is it even possible?

not sure, aMemberpro does this so maybe go download thier demo and check all that out

Check the Tutorial section, i am sure there is a thread on how to use the DataManagers to create a new member account.
