Banned user attempting login using active member ID
I recently banned a member.
This member knows another, not banned member in real life. Someone (I'm assuming the banned member) recently attempted to login as the active member but couldn't remember the active members password and so failed to get past the 5 tries gate. The active member then recieved an auto-email from the site telling them that someone had attempted to login from a specific IP address. I have asked the active member to provide that IP address to me but so far have not recieved a response. In the meantime, is that IP address logged somewhere in the database ? As an Admin, how can I be alerted to this type of attempted hack of my forum ? I've looked at the "strikes" table in the database but can't seem to get the information out of there that I am looking for. My mySQL skills are a bit rusty, I'm more familliar with Oracle 9i, so if someone could help a gal out with a little sql code it would be much appreciated ! Thanks ! |
Once the member logs in sucessfully, the records for the failed attempts are erased from the table.

Hmmm.... ok, then would it be possible to modify the PHP that auto-generates the email to the user such that it also sends the same email to the Admin ?
