vb.org Archive - Log out problem

I have an odd problem for users logging out of my forum on 3.5.4. When a user attempts to log out, he is presented with the standard "Do You Really Want to Log Out" dialog box, and upon confirming, receives the message that all cookies have been cleared. But the log in status box in the upper right indicates that he is still logged in, even though he isn't. It only says he's logged out after he clicks on one of the items in the "All cookies cleared" box. This is frustrating and confusing to users. How can I make the information in the log in area refresh properly after the "do you really want to log out" box is clicked?
