so my forum right now is at www.banra.com and i want to move it to www.banra.com/forum so i can have www.banra.com be a warning page. to do this can i just make a new folder called forum and put all the files in that? and then i guess id changed my config.php - is this right?

Unless you've moved your attachments and images to a file system what you've specified above is all you need to do. Just make sure that your URL and cookie path are correct. :)
