Impex, PHPBB, vbux, and points

I have a large 10k member phpbb forums I am going to be importing. I have one problem. I need to import their user_points into the vbux system and also I have subscripion mod for phpbb with about 300 subscribers I also wish to import.

With the subscribers I know I can manually do them all in a couple hours ...no biggie. But the points are very very important.

Anyone know how I can modify impex to include this info? I know I have to install the vbux mod first. I looked into the impex script but haven't found out yet a good way to hack it for the points.

Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure about this.. however

If you import the PHPBB system using Impex, then install vbBux, it should re calculate the user points based on the posts they made... Not exactly sure about this but that's how I think it works.

I guess another way to do this if you really want to modify Impex is setup the vBux system first on the board you're going to import it into, and edit Impex so that the points table from the PHPBB system will be transfered to the points table in the vBux system.

No...I can't recalculate the points. It's the nuts and bolts of my sites revenue. Users would flip out and leave. They buy points and trade them for real items in my forums. I can install the vbux before running impex. I guess I will have to consider doing all this myself. I just assumed someone out there more familiar than me might have already done something similar.

I still desperately need this. I only need to import the user_points field of phpbb into the vbbux field of VB. I am trying myself to do this but getting nowhere fast. Any impex or mysql pros that can do this I can give $50 to.

I need impex to consider user_points a field and to import that into vbbux.

HELP!

cant you just take the field in your original database (on a backup)

then after doing the import match usernames on each database and import the points for them from the old one?

Well..I did it. I had a mysql error with an extra comma. W00t...anyone ever need this feel free to PM me here.

Modifying impex wasn't too bad...it was troubleshooting my typo that was a problem. Basically I just need to add the extra fields in the proper files. It's about 5-6 files I edited for it to work.
