Restrict users to one Specific forum until they've posted.
 

I thought it would be a great addition if there was a mod to do this.

If you have a board that is anything like normal, you will notice a large percentage of people sign up and register, but never post.... this just isnt acceptable boys and girls now is it?

I was thinking of a way to try and combat this and had the idea that if they could only access one specific forum (introductions forum) then this may solve some of the problem.

I realise this can be done with the existing permissions system.... ie.
Set registered members to allow only access to that one forum, plus have a promotion running to upgrade registered members with 1 or more posts.

The problem with the above method is that the promotions cron is run once per hour.

This functionality would require an instant usergroup switch when they post.

Anyone up for this?
