General CSS SEO note/helpful tip
So I've been going over some of my older websites, and checking them using this spider test tool:
http://tools.seobook.com/general/spider-test/ On the sites that I used an inline CSS instead of an external, my top resulting words were things like "bgcolor" "bold" "font", etc. I took one site, switched to external CSS and re-ran it, and the results were MUCH better. So for any of you still using inline CSS, keep this in mind. |
spiders ignore inline CSS .. however, it is advisable to store all CSS externally as it's less code for spiders to parse -> if you do this more links can be parsed by spiders (some spiders will only parse xxx characters per page)
