Exclude forum XX from latest threads
 

Hello... I have a bunch of categories on my site. On my front page, I have the latest threads which is pulled from all forums. I would like to exclude ALL threads from a few of these forums.

I know one way to do this is by including only the groups I would like shown in the VBA CP. That would take me far too long. There are only 2 forums that I don't want displayed on the forum home page whereas there are 30 that I do want shown.

I've asked this question on VBA for months now but have never received a response.

Its not that tough....

Login to your ACP
Click on vBa CMPS
Click on Edit Modules
Select the module ie Recent Threads in this case
Scroll down to recent thread options

Here you may select the forum(s) in which you would like to display recent threads from. To select more than one forum, hold down your 'ctrl' key while selecting the forums with your mouse. Leave this option blank to select threads from all forums.

I have over 30 forums and it took me less than 30 seconds to do what you want to do.

Ok... My module name is, "Latest Forum Topics"

I do not have a 'recent thread options'. The only thing that comes close to that is, "Latest Forum Topics Options". I don't see a list of forums that I can select.

here is what i am doing. if you goto http://www.recycle.co.uk you will see on the front page that is taking the recent threads from the forum. but i also have a rss news feed going into a news thread. i do not want the news items showing up on the front page in the recent items ??

any ideas much appreciated.
